Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
3⁄4 c Crisco (regular or butter flavor)
6 oz Chocolate chips
3⁄4 t Baking soda
1 t Salt
1 3⁄4 c Flour
1 Egg
1 T Vanilla extract
2 T Milk
1 1⁄4 c Brown sugar
1 c Pecans (chopped, optional)
Instructions

<p>Heat oven to 375 F.<br />

Combine shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Beat in egg. Combine flour, salt and baking soda in a side bowl. Mix into shortening mixture until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.<br />

Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart onto baking sheet.<br />
<br />
Bake 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies, or 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool 2 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.</p>
