<p>Cook sausage, hamburger, onion, and garlic in a dutch oven until browned. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and water. Season with sugar, basil, fennel, Italian seasoning, 1 T salt, pepper, 2 T parsley. Simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.</p>

<p>Cook lasagna noodles according to box instructions. Drain, and rinse with water. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, egg, remaining parsely, and 1/2 t salt.</p>

<p>Spread 1 1/2 C of meat sauce in bottom of 9" x 13" baking dish. Arrange 6 noodles lengthwise over sauce. Spread with 1/2 of ricotta mixture. Top with 1/3 of mozzarella cheese slices. Spoon 1 1/2 C meat sauce, and sprinkle 1/4 C Parmesean cheese. Repeat layers, and top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesean cheese. Cover with foil.</p>

<p>Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil, and bake for additional 25 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes before serving.</p>
