Ingredients
1 Red onion
1 Red cabbage
1⁄2 lb Bacon
1⁄2 c Brown sugar
1⁄2 c Brown vinegar
Instructions
<p>Cook bacon in a large pot until crisp. Remove, chop, and set aside. Leave 1/2 of the grease in the pan.</p>

<p>Chop onion, and fry in grease. Once it is clear, add the cabbage and cook on low 20 minutes stirring occasionally.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Add bacon, sugar, and vinegar. Simmer 20 minutes to 1 hr until tender. </p>
