Ingredients
1 lb Italian sausage
1 t Italian seasoning
1 T Salt
1⁄4 t Pepper
4 T Parsley
12 Lasagna noodles
16 oz Ricotta cheeese
1 Egg
3⁄4 lb Mozzarella cheese (sliced)
1⁄2 t Fennel seeds
1 1⁄2 t Basil
1 lb Hamburger
1⁄2 c Onion (diced)
2 clv Garlic (crushed)
28 oz Crushed tomatoes
12 oz Tomato paste
13 oz Tomato sauce
1⁄2 c Water
2 T Sugar
3⁄4 lb Parmesean cheese (grated)
Instructions

<p>Cook sausage, hamburger, onion, and garlic in a dutch oven until browned.&nbsp; Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and water.&nbsp; Season with sugar, basil, fennel, Italian seasoning, 1 T salt, pepper, 2 T parsley.&nbsp; Simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.</p>

<p>Cook lasagna noodles according to box instructions.&nbsp; Drain, and rinse with water.&nbsp; In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, egg, remaining parsely, and 1/2 t salt.</p>

<p>Spread 1 1/2 C of meat sauce in bottom of 9&quot; x 13&quot; baking dish.&nbsp; Arrange 6 noodles lengthwise over sauce.&nbsp; Spread with 1/2 of ricotta mixture.&nbsp; Top with 1/3 of mozzarella cheese slices.&nbsp; Spoon 1 1/2 C meat sauce, and sprinkle 1/4 C Parmesean cheese.&nbsp; Repeat layers, and top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesean cheese.&nbsp; Cover with foil.</p>

<p>Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 25 minutes.&nbsp; Remove foil, and bake for additional 25 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes before serving.</p>
